The agreement should add much-needed cash to the balance sheet, while continuing to allow the company flexibility in its schedules. The move to sell and lease back aircraft is another way for the company to add flexibility while business has disappeared due to the ongoing pandemic.To illustrate the dramatic drop in business, the United executives said, "we expect to fly fewer people during the entire month of May than we did on a single day in May 09."
