Under the deal, shoppers can use the Uber Eats app to buy home improvement items, including gardening products and repair supplies, for either immediate or scheduled delivery. The rollout is already live, combining Ace's store footprint with Uber's delivery network. The tie-up is the latest step in Uber Eats' move beyond restaurant orders into retail segments such as home improvement, beauty and electronics. Uber North America grocery and retail head Hashim Amin said: “Consumers are increasingly turning to Uber Eats for more than just meals." Uber Eats said it brought on more than 1,000 retailers worldwide last year and added over 50,000 retail locations in the US.
