Uber Technologies is launching autonomous rides in partnership with Avride in Dallas, the first official launch for a partnership the companies announced last year. Uber stock pushed higher in early Wednesday trading. The service is available in nine square miles of Dallas' downtown and will initially include an "on-board specialist" monitoring the vehicles, according to Uber's announcement.
