At a press briefing in Paris, the French developer - which is best known for making the Assassin's Creed and Far Cry games - provided details on the software, which it is currently calling “Teammates”, that will eventually be made available to developers to use in their games. “It will redefine how you interact with teammates. It allows you to lead a squad of intelligent, proactive NPCs through dynamic combat scenarios where your voice is your greatest tool”, said Ubisoft Xavier Manzanares, Ubisoft's director of generative AI gameplay, led the presentation which featured a gameplay prototype. It began with him conversing with an AI assistant called “Jaspar” - which is not unlike Apple's “Siri” - through a headset.
