GREENVILLE, S.C., Oct. 22, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- United Community Banks, Inc. (NYSE: UCB) (United) today announced net income for the third quarter of 2025 of $91.5 million and pre-tax, pre-provision income of $126.0 million. Diluted earnings per share of $0.70 for the quarter represented an increase of $0.32 from the third quarter a year ago and an increase of $0.07 from the second quarter. Note that the third quarter of 2024 included losses from the sale of United’s manufactured housing loan portfolio. On an operating basis, United’s diluted earnings per share of $0.75 were up 32% from the year-ago quarter. Strong 27% year-over-year revenue growth and a lower provision for credit losses were partly offset by higher expenses. United’s return on assets was 1.29%, or 1.33% on an operating basis, up from 0.67% and 1.01%, respectively for the third quarter of 2024.
