Q2 net income more than quadrupled to $496M, or $2.36/share, from $110M, or $0.52/share, in the year-earlier quarter, but revenues fell 20% Y/Y to $2.47B, missing analyst expectations. During the strategic review, UGI ( UGI ) said it evaluated several value creation opportunities including a potential sale, spinoff or joint venture of AmeriGas, and although it conducted due diligence with multiple strategic and financial parties, the board decided the company should focus on a restructuring and operational improvement plan for AmeriGas.
