After the publishing of the UK's gender pay gap data, large companies are being more transparent about their strategies to tackle gender inequality in the workplace. It is no secret that in the UK the odds are still stacked against women when it comes to equal opportunity in the work place. Only 22% of senior leadership roles are held by women and the government’s 2017 regulation requiring companies with more than 250 employees to submit their gender pay gap data revealed an even bigger disparity. Almost 80% of companies still pay men more than women and the mean national average gender pay gap currently stands at 17.4%.
