INDIANAPOLIS - Dusty May is staying in Ann Arbor. Michigan basketball's coach will not seek other college job opportunities this offseason and is expected to return to U-M for the 2026-27 season and beyond, athletic director Warde Manuel confirmed to the Detroit Free Press. May was rumored to be a top candidate for the North Carolina job that recently opened in Chapel Hill after the Tar Heels fired Hubert Davis. Michigan will play UConn for the national championship on Monday, April 6 (8:50 p.m., TBS) at Lucas Oil Stadium. "We had a great conversation about his future at Michigan and my commitment to him, his staff and his team," Manuel said Sunday evening. "Thrilled to have him continuing to lead our men's basketball team and to have Anna [his wife] and his family remain in Ann Arbor. "His focus and mine is on the game Monday night versus UConn."
