A University of Michigan engineering student found dead off campus over the weekend had attended a fraternity party before he disappeared, according to the school. Ann Arbor police said the body of Lucas Mattson, 19, of Juneau, Alaska, was found about noon Saturday, Jan. 24, in the 1900 block of Cambridge Road, near the intersection of Hill Street and Washtenaw Avenue. "At this time, we can share that prior to disappearing, Lucas was attending a party at a fraternity house as a guest; he was neither a member nor a pledge," U-M President Domenico Grasso said in a message to the campus community. "We must let the investigators complete their work and refrain from speculation until the facts are known." Grasso's message didn't identify the fraternity that hosted the party.
