had agreed to be acquired by its industry peer, Cintas, in a cash-and-stock deal valued at approximately $5.5 billion. According to the definitive agreement, UniFirst shareholders were set to receive $155 in cash and 0.772 shares of Cintas for each share they owned. The offer valued each UniFirst share at roughly $310, which represented a significant premium over the stock's previous trading levels and sparked investor excitement.
