United Parcel Service ( NYSE:UPS ) is seeing its long-standing valuation lead over rival FedEx ( NYSE:FDX ) narrow to almost nothing, a shift that may signal growing investor concern about the parcel carrier's longer-term growth trajectory. By Thursday's close, UPS held a market value of about $88.35 billion, only slightly ahead of FedEx at roughly $87.78 billion, with the rival briefly moving ahead during trading.
