Ur-Energy ( URG ) said the buildout of the wholly owned, fully permitted project will nearly double its total annual permitted mine production capacity to 2.2M lbs while diversifying supply. The Shirley basin satellite plant will be designed with a flow rate of up to 6K gallons per minute and capacity to produce as much as 1M lbs/year of U3O8. The satellite plant will be a relatively low-cost facility - with initial facility capital costs of ~$24.4M and pre-operational wellfield development costs of $16.3M - consisting of ion exchange, wastewater and groundwater restoration circuits, the company said.
