As previously announced, it plans to repurchase up to $1 billion worth of its shares in 2024 following the merger of UBS AG and Credit Suisse AG, with the aim of exceeding share repurchases to pre-acquisition levels by 2026, the company said in a statement. UBS Group AG repurchased 298,537,950 shares as part of the 2022 share repurchase program, representing 8.62% of the company's current registered share capital. The 2022 share repurchase program concluded on March 28, 2024.
