Stripe, announced a major expansion of their global card issuance partnership. This collaboration allows fintech developers and businesses to offer Visa cards backed by stablecoin balances, which can now be settled on-chain through a partnership with Lead Bank. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between digital assets and traditional commerce, allowing consumers to spend stablecoins at any of Visa's 175 million merchant locations worldwide. The program has seen rapid global momentum, with Bridge-enabled cards already live in 18 countries and plans to reach over 100 countries across Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East by the end of the year.
