VINCI Construction in the Czech Republic, for the construction of the final section of the D11 motorway. The final section of the motorway runs between Jaromer and Trutnov. Under the contract, the consortium will construct 20km of new roadway, a 767m tunnel and 31 bridges with a combined length of 2.5km. Work on this project is slated to start this month and is expected to be completed by the end of 2029. VINCI said: “The project will be carried out in a way that respects the environment and local residents. The tunnel and 12km of noise barriers will reduce noise pollution. In addition, wildlife migration corridors have been identified, studied and secured.” The D11 motorway is a component of the EU's Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), which seeks to establish an “efficient, multimodal and high-quality transport infrastructure” across the EU.
