Let's just say it: the graduating class of 2024 had it rough. Between the onset of COVID-19 in their senior year of high school (schools closed, proms canceled), and, now, graduating college amidst widespread campus protests (graduation canceled, again, for many), the class of 2024 also saw George Floyd's murder at the hands of police and subsequent global protests, a divisive election and insurrection, attacks on women's healthcare, countless mass shootings, chilling reports on the trajectory of climate change, and devastating wars in Ukraine and Gaza—all between the end of high school and college. This class has come of age during crisis after crisis. And, they witnessed them all first-hand–if not in person, then on their devices.
