Dallas, Texas, Nov. 06, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Valhi, Inc. (NYSE: VHI) reported a net loss attributable to Valhi stockholders of $22.2 million, or $.78 per share, in the third quarter of 2025 compared to net income of $57.5 million, or $2.01 per share, in the third quarter of 2024. For the first nine months of 2025, Valhi reported a net loss attributable to Valhi stockholders of $4.4 million, or $.15 per share, compared to net income of $85.2 million, or $2.99 per share, in the first nine months of 2024. Net income attributable to Valhi stockholders decreased in the third quarter and first nine months of 2025 as compared to the same periods in 2024 primarily due to lower operating results from the Chemicals Segment, a third quarter non-cash gain in 2024 related to the Chemicals Segment acquisition of the 50% joint venture interest in Louisiana Pigment Company, L.P.
