entrepreneur's Virgin Orbit Holdings Inc. expects to undertake by the end of November. The UK Civil Aviation Authority issued a license for Spaceport Cornwall, approving its infrastructure, equipment and services for horizontal space launches, according to a statement Wednesday. The country's space industry is estimated to be worth £16.5 billion and support 47,000 jobs, the Civil Aviation Authority said. The regulator said it was in very advanced stages with Virgin Orbit on its applications ahead of the planned launch.
