Varonis shares jumped 7% during early trading Tuesday and have surged over the past year. "On the heels of another strong quarter with further evidence the model transition is hitting its next gear of growth and also the AI Revolution will give VRNS a clear tailwind over the next 12 to 18 months in our view," wrote Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives and others in a note. The company's fourth-quarter earnings per share of $0.27 beat estimates by $0.04. Total revenue of $154.1M beat the consensus by $2.4M. Varonis' transition to a subscription based-model appears to be working as subscription-based revenue totaled 84% of the company's revenue during the fourth quarter, up from 80% in the previous quarter. Additionally, its transition to a software-as-a-service provider is now expected by 2026, one year earlier than prior estimates, the analysts said.
