Learn More » Our last coverage of Ventas, Inc. NYSE: VTR ) was a while back in June 2023. At the time, we were impressed with the performance of its senior housing operating portfolio (also known as SHOP). But we were not too thrilled with the stretched balance sheet and the rather high valuation. Our best advice for the bulls was to wait for a lower entry point. For the year you would expect about $2.50 of funds available for distribution and that gives VTR a FAD multiple of 17.75X. We think that is still on the high side in a market with 5% risk-free rates. Despite strong results, we would look for the low $30's as the best buy point for this REIT. Source:
