Kwiatkowski works at Hitchhiker Brewing Company "I was always around craft beer," says Kwiatkowski. "My dad was a home brewer and I used to draw his labels. This was when I was like thirteen years old." Out of high school, Kwiatkowski decided that he didn't want to do college. Instead, he planned on becoming a chef. But a stint as a line cook at a chain restaurant provided a peak behind the curtain of culinary life, and Kwiatkowski decided it wasn't for him. Instead, he got a job as a telemarketer for a mortgage broker. "I did so well, they offered me a job selling mortgages," says Kwiatkowski. "I was nineteen. I didn't even know what a mortgage was."
