At least, that was the case this past week during the NFL Draft when the polarizing AEW President and CEO (and top executive of the Jacksonville Jaguars) wasted no time comparing WWE to Harvey Weinstein. During an appearance on the NFL Network to discuss Jaguars' Draft—and his much-talked-about injury angle this past Wednesday on AEW Dynamite, Khan made an awkward WWE comparison to disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein. “AEW, we've been doing this for five years. We are the most successful sports start-up since the AFL, pre-merger. There has not been a challenger brand that has gained as much market share as AEW in many, many years,” said Khan of the upstart promotion currently in its fifth year of existence. “We are like the Pepsi of pro wrestling. We're up against a really evil juggernaut. WWE is our competitor, that's who we're facing. AEW, like the Pepsi of pro wrestling. WWE is like the Harvey Weinstein of pro wrestling... I'm really proud of what we do down here...”
