The streaming giant has announced a price increase, its first since January 2025 , which comes a day after Netflix delivered MLB's Opening Day game between the New York Yankees and the San Francisco Giants. Netflix will increase the monthly price of its ad-supported tier by $1 to $8.99 per month, according to plans and pricing listed on the streamer's online Help Center . The ad-free plans will increase by $2 a month. Netflix currently has more than 325 million paying subscribers, the company said in January . A month ago, Netflix dropped its attempt to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery after declining to match Paramount Skydance's bid. Still, the streamer is riding high after winning three Oscars for "Frankenstein" and two for "KPop Demon Hunters" at the Academy Awards earlier this month.
