“Texas and Ontario have a long-standing trade relationship that benefits families, workers, and businesses on both sides of the border. Ontario's trade with Texas makes up nearly 50% of Canada's total trade with the state,” Hannah Jensen, a spokesperson for the premier's office, said in an email. “Of all the states, Texas ranked number two in terms of exports from Ontario and number four in terms of imports to Ontario.” On Tuesday, Ford will arrive in Houston and attend meetings with “industry partners,” including Waste Connections, Westlake Corporation, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America Inc., and Hewlett-Package. More meetings are scheduled in Dallas on April 1 and April 2, including ones with Compass Datacenters, McKesson, and Toyota.
