Western Digital stock logs best week in nearly 7 years because of this bad-news-is-good-news twist Western Digital Corp. shares logged their best weekly gain in nearly seven years Friday as investors considered a power outage at one of the digital storage device maker’s flash memory production facilities to be good news given the glut in memory chip inventories. Western Digital WDC, +6.73% shares rose 6.7% to close at $47.55 Friday after touching an intraday high of $47.60.
