("Waterdrop", the "Company" or "we") (NYSE: WDH), a leading technology platform dedicated to insurance and healthcare service with a positive social impact, today announced its unaudited financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2023.Financial and Operational Highlights for the First Quarter of 2023Resilient Business Performance: For the first quarter of 2023, the first-year premiums ("FYP") generated through our Waterdrop Insurance Marketplace amounted to RMB1,692.0 million (US$246.4 million), representing an increase of 6.3% quarter over quarter. Our net operating revenue was RMB606.2 million (US$88.3 million), representing a decrease of 10.8% quarter over quarter.Effective cost control and sustained profitability: For the first quarter of 2023, our operating costs decreased by 11.0%, and total operating costs and expenses decreased by 1.8% quarter over quarter. Our net profit reached RMB49.7 million (US$7.2 million)
