The stock's 19x P/E multiple also is a considerable premium to regulated U.S. electric utilities, which are a more clear play on rising electric demand from data centers, according to Wolfe's Keith Stanley and Steve Fleishman. Williams ( WMB ) offers "a thematically appealing way to invest in gas infrastructure, which is seeing some increased terminal value from rising power demand for data centers," the analysts write, but "that said, the natural gas market currently remains well oversupplied and producers are cutting volumes which has a relatively larger impact on WMB given a significant G&P business that is volume sensitive."
