LIV and Let Live: Scottie Scheffler, the world's No. 1 golfer, is one of the marquee PGA Tour players who hasn't defected to the LIV Tour. H istorical comparissons are not typcially made between auto racing and golf, but with the launch of PGA Tour Enterprises last week, they should be. PGA Tour Enterprises is an entity that will house the PGA Tour's commercial businesses and rights, as well as those of the DP World Tour. Strategic Sports Group (SSG), a consortium of billionaire sports team owners led by Fenway Sports Group (FSG), among the most valuable sports empires in the world, is investing $1.5 billion to start and perhaps up to $3 billion in the new venture. The PGA may also still get more than $3 billion from Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), which backs the upstart LIV Golf Tour. Why the sudden dash with all this cash?
