For some time now, the narrative surrounding retail has been dominated by the “digital-first” shift, leaving many to wonder if the era of the massive, sprawling brick-and-mortar store was finally winding down. However, Walmart is making a multi-billion-dollar bet that customers still want a premium experience when they walk through the front doors. The world's largest retailer recently announced that more than 650 stores are getting remodeled in 2026. Supercenters and Neighborhood Markets alike. Although no full national list has been released, Arkansas has confirmed its locations: Bentonville, Marion, Nashville, Osceola, Paragould (both the Neighborhood Market and Supercenter), Springdale, and Wynne.
