Thousands of bicycle helmets sold at Walmart due to significant safety concerns. According to a from the Consumer Product Safety Commission, more than 40,000 Concord-branded helmets are subject to the recall for failing to meet mandatory safety standards. The helmets may fail to adequately protect bikers during an accident, risking serious head injury or death. The helmets, manufactured in China, were sold at Walmart stores nationwide and online at Walmart.com from January 2025 to September 2025 for about $30, according to the CPSC. Here's what to know about the recalled bicycle helmets. What helmets were recalled? About 40,245 Concord-branded 360 Degree Rechargeable Light-Up bike helmets in size large are subject to the recall, according to CPSC. The helmets are black with black straps, a black buckle and a black plastic knob at the back for adjustments. They include built-in LED lighting systems and "Concord" printed on the back.
