CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Acceleron Pharma Inc. (Nasdaq:XLRN), a leading biopharmaceutical company in the discovery and development of TGF-beta superfamily therapeutics to treat serious and rare diseases, announced today that John Quisel, J.D., Ph.D, Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer, is leaving the Company to become Chief Executive Officer of a venture-backed startup biotechnology company. Dr. Quisel’s departure from Acceleron is effective as of February 24.“John has been a valued colleague and trusted leader at Acceleron, contributing meaningfully to the Company’s growth and success,” said Habib Dable, President and Chief Executive Officer of Acceleron. “During his nearly 14 years here, John has lent his scientific, business, and legal acumen to many important corporate initiatives.
