My big concern about the business model viability is due to the fact that revenue and EPS are moving in opposite directions. Q4 2023 deliveries indicate a potential revenue beat, but I expect cautious guidance due to decelerating deliveries in early 2024. Investment thesis My previous bearish thesis about XPeng ( NYSE: XPEV ) aged well as the stock price dropped by 48% since early October 2023. Today I want to update my thesis and I believe it will be especially useful for readers in light of the upcoming quarterly earnings release, which is scheduled for next week. Considering Q4 2023 robust delivery dynamics, I expect XPEV to beat consensus revenue estimates, but am highly uncertain about the ability to demonstrate a solid EPS improvement. I also do not expect the guidance to be strong, given decelerating deliveries in January-February 2024.
