KFC said Thursday that it will be conducting worker temperature checks before every shift. The chicken chain has shipped contactless thermometers to all its restaurants, as well as 13 million masks and has installed shields at the front counter to protect customers and workers. And Pizza Hut says it is now offering contactless curbside pickup at its locations. More than 60% of orders are taking place using contactless delivery, Pizza Hut said. Pizzas go from a 400-plus degree oven to the boxes without human touch and then are closed with a tamper-proof safety seal. KFC and Pizza Hut are part of the Yum Brands Inc. portfolio. Yum Brands shares are up 2.1% in Thursday trading, but have sunk 22% over the past year. The S&P 500 index is down 3.7% for the period.
