Asia Fund Manager Finds China To Be A Stock Pickers Paradise Eric Moffett said the Chinese-Asian stock market is "a stock pickers paradise." That would place Moffett in paradise. He's the portfolio manager of the T. Rowe Price Asia Opportunities Fund (TRAOX) and he spends his days looking for stocks all over Asia, excluding Japan. "The domestic stock market in China is still mostly a retail stock market, driven by retail investors who are focused on momentum, and perhaps don't have a clear idea of what stocks are worth, or the ability to interact with management," said Moffett. "These inefficiencies can create great opportunities for institutional investors." Since 75% of the emerging market universe is in Asia, the Asia Opportunities Fund is like an emerging market fund focuses solely on Asia, with Hong Kong and Singapore included.
