Zumiez revealed the plan to close locations last week in its fourth quarter and full-year earnings report. The report shows that overall, sales were up 4.5% to $929.1 million and net income for the year was $13.4 million. The year prior, the company's reported a net loss of $1.7 million. According to KTLA, CEO Richard Brooks said the company's decision to close stores has more to do with where they're located. Zumiez did not reveal a list of stores that will close or when that will happen, but said the company is exiting from underperforming shopping malls where foot traffic hasn't rebounded since the COVID-19 pandemic. “What we're seeing in the U.S. is actually finally the end of, I think, the final leg on a bunch of mall locations at the lower end C- and D-volume mall locations, where we had traditionally been able to make some money, but now they've just got to the point where they're just not working anymore,” Brooks said, according to The Street Of the 25 stores set to cl
