Under the proposed terms, ClearView investors would receive A$0.65 in cash per share. ClearView's directors have unanimously recommended the proposed transaction. Completion is anticipated in the third quarter of 2026 (Q3 2026), subject to regulatory, shareholder and court approvals. Zurich Australia & New Zealand CEO Justin Delaney said: “The proposed transaction brings together Zurich's strong capital foundation with ClearView's established in-market product and advice relationships and represents a clear opportunity to develop the customer experience and competitive offering in the Australian life insurance market.” ClearView is the holding company of ClearView Life Assurance, an Australian life insurer that works with financial advisers. As of 30 June 2025, the group reported A$413m in in-force premiums.
