iOS 13.4.5 Public Beta 1Anthony KarczLast week, right after iOS 13.4.1 was released, developers got their first taste of iOS 13.4.5. Public Beta participants patiently waited for their version to no avail. Finally, this week, iOS 13.4.5 Public Beta 1 showed up on our devices, right after developers got their second release.So what happened? iOS 13.4.1 disrupted the release cycle. This surprise public release dropped on April 7 to fix, among other things, FaceTime and Bluetooth settings bugs. Not mentioned was a fix for the VPN bypass bug (in a nutshell: secure, hidden traffic was neither hidden, nor secure). Strange, because that’s the bug that everyone assumed Cupertino rushed the public build out the door for.The official release notes foriOS 13.4.5 Public Beta 2don’t mention the VPN bug either.
