The $58 million sale of La Posada de Santa Fe was announced in a Thursday news release issued on behalf of Hunter Advisors, the hotel-only brokerage firm that handled the transaction. The property has been sold by Ashford Hospitality Trust to the Artesia-based Abo Sada LLC. Abo Sada is owned by the Yates family, whose members include small-town newspaper owner and former state Republican Chair Harvey Yates Jr. The 6-acre property at 330 E. Palace Ave. traces its origins to the late 1800s. The village-style resort features 157 rooms and suites, along with two restaurants, two bars, a full-service spa and about 7,700 square feet of meeting space, according to the news release. Officials from Abo Sada did not return phone messages from The New Mexican on Thursday seeking information about plans for the property.
