Some of the products were sold under the Kroger and Trader Joe's brands. Ajinomoto Foods North America Inc. is recalling a total of more than 37 million pounds of food, including this week's recall of about 34 million pounds of various ready-to-eat and not-ready-to-eat frozen chicken and pork fried rice, ramen, and shu mai dumpling products. The recall includes 16 products produced between Oct. 21, 2024, and Feb. 26, 2026, under brand names Ajinomoto, Kroger, Ling Ling, Tai Pei and Trader Joe's. The recall, announced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) on March 3, 2026, is an expansion of the Portland, Oregon-based food manufacturer's Feb. 19 recall of its frozen chicken products. FSIS discovered the problem after getting customer complaints of glass found in products.
