(Nasdaq: ALT), a late clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing pemvidutide to address serious liver diseases, today announced it has commenced an underwritten public offering of shares of its common stock and accompanying common stock warrants to purchase an equivalent number of shares of its common stock (or pre-funded warrants in lieu thereof), and, in lieu of common stock to certain investors, pre-funded warrants to purchase shares of its common stock and accompanying common stock warrants to purchase shares of its common stock (or pre-funded warrants in lieu thereof).
