Fremont, California, where it will boost capacity through commissioning its anode battery production line, moving the company "from kWh of production to MWh of production." Amprius ( AMPX ) said the additional capacity will serve existing customers, including Airbus, AeroVironment, BAE Systems and Teledyne FLIR, as well as supply the backlog of new customers seeking cell qualification in 2024. The facility will manufacture high-energy batteries delivering energy densities of up to 500 Wh/kg and 1335 Wh/L, and high-power batteries with discharge rates as high as 10C, the company said.
