On Thursday, Bed Bath & Beyond confirmed it has signed a letter of intent to acquire "the equity interests and substantially all assets” of F9. Bed Bath & Beyond is offering $37 million in cash and roughly 16 million shares of the company's stock priced at $7 a share. The deal is expected to close in May, following the company's annual shareholder meeting. The F9 acquisition follows Bed Bath & Beyond's recent announcement that it's acquiring The Container Store in a separate $150 million deal. As part of that deal, Bed Bath & Beyond also acquires Elfa and Closet Works.
