In opening remarks posted on social media, the former President said he didn't have any knowledge of Epstein's sex trafficking operation — despite anyone's "interpretation of those 20-year-old photos." "I had no idea of the crimes Epstein was committing," Clinton said of the convicted sex offender, who died in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges.
