But when you take the Siren out of the picture, California's coffee landscape is as diverse as its topography. For example, in nearly every county in the Bay Area, the most common chain after Starbucks is Peet's Coffee . Down In L.A., the second most dominant brand is The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf . Even further south in San Diego, it's Dunkin' Yet none of those brands, popular in the state's largest dense metros, is California's second most popular chain.
