Dogs at a shelter in Washington received a delightful surprise from a coffee shop employee who sent them all sweet treats. Julie Saraceno, a longtime volunteer with the Benton Franklin Humane Society in Kennewick, about three hours from Seattle, was on her way to the shelter when she stopped by Dutch Bros. Coffee to grab coffee for herself and a fellow volunteer. Saraceno told USA TODAY over email that when she asked her server if they could grab her a few pup cups, mentioning that she was planning to take them to the dog shelter, they handed her a whole bag of pup cups and whipped cream. "I was genuinely surprised," Saraceno said. "With all that is going on in the world lately, I've been pretty down. To stop by a local coffee shop and have them hear I wanted three pup cups for the shelter dogs, and them, turn around and say 'Let's get them all a pup cup' cheered me up so much."
