In addition to the new medical center, the Dell's gift will be used to provide significant support for undergraduate student scholarships, student housing and UT's Texas Advanced Computing Center. The newly named UT Dell Campus for Advanced Research will bring together the university's existing strengths in advanced computing capabilities and artificial intelligence. The university plans to break ground later this year on the UT Dell Medical Center, which the university is calling the country's first “AI-native” medical center. Scheduled to open in 2030, the UT Dell Medical Center will deliver a “fully integrated, patient-centered model," focused on “earlier detection, more precise and personalized care, and better health outcomes.” The university indicated that it hopes to use the Dell's commitment as a springboard for it to raise a total of $10 billion over the the next 10 years.
