While the industry has poured more than £300m of investment into whisky tourism in only a decade, some of that investment is already on the rocks. This is not a small part of the industry. Whisky tourism is thought to have more than 1,100 jobs across the country - a tenth of those directly employed in the sector. In recent years, there have been more than two million visits annually, with the spend reaching more than £84m.
