Deutsche Lufthansa is beginning to see a meaningful shift in travel demand as disruptions across the Middle East reshape global aviation flows. After the Feb. 28 attack on Iran, as many as 700 aircraft tied to Gulf-based carriers have been sidelined or operating at reduced capacity, pushing passengers toward airlines still running near-normal schedules. In the first two weeks following the incident, Lufthansa reported bookings rising about 20% for March departures, with an even stronger increase on Asia-Pacific routes, suggesting demand may be redistributing faster than expected.
