The company plans to convert the remaining 14 sites to other brands within the Darden portfolio. Darden had previously stated that Bahama Breeze sites were “no longer a strategic priority” and that it would consider “strategic alternatives”, including a potential sale of the brand. Locations scheduled to close include restaurants in several US states, including Delaware, Georgia, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, and Virginia. The closure list also includes restaurants in Florida, along with sites in King of Prussia and Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. These restaurants marked for permanent closure are expected to continue operating until 5 April 2026. Darden plans to convert the remaining 14 Bahama Breeze locations over the next 12 to 18 months. These locations are expected to remain open until temporary closures are needed to complete the conversion work. The company has not yet disclosed which of its brands will take over those sites.
