ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. Nov. 30, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- The Duke Energy Foundation is dedicating an additional in financial assistance to Florida customers to help pay their energy bills this holiday season. The funding is made possible through the company's Share the Light Fund ® , which helps individuals and families in need. So far this year, approximately $1.1 million in energy bill assistance was distributed to qualifying Florida customers through the company's Share the Light Fund. "The holidays can often bring added stress to those already facing financial hardship," said Melissa Seixas , Duke Energy Florida state president. "We want customers to know there is financial assistance available to help pay their electric bills, no matter the season. We thank all of our community agencies, employees and customers who come together to make this program a reality."
